2007 is almost upon us so why not sign up for a walk on the wild side. Marie Curie Cancer Care is appealing to people to take on a personal challenge in the new year. The cancer charity has a whole host of sponsored walks suitable for all ages and abilities. Just one of these is the ever popular Snowdon Mountain Challenge. Community fund-raiser for West Wales, Rachel Thomas, said: "This is the fourth consecutive year we have taken walkers to the summit of the biggest mountain in England and Wales and places tend to fill up quickly. "The trek takes place on Sunday, June 24, and anyone who wants to take part is urged to contact us as soon as possible." Marie Curie Cancer Care is also running four walks to the top of Ben Nevis in 2007. Rachel added: "The walk to Ben Nevis proved to be so popular this year that we have decided to add an extra two dates. The walk will take place on June 2 and 3 and September 15 and 16. "We are also looking for people to take on the challenge of the Three Peaks on July 2." For more information, please contact Rachel on 01792 461435.
