Brownies from Penally and St. Issell's in Saundersfoot enjoyed a weekend in the Wild West at Stackpole recently whilst on their annual pack holiday.

They enjoyed animal tracking in the woods, picnic on a wild and windy beach sheltering in the caves of Broad Haven South, crafts including making dancing cowboys, dream catchers, bandanas, Indian headdresses and decorating a totem pole.

They entertained each other on the Saturday evening with a Wild West show and they all came away with either a pack holiday or pack holiday advanced badge.

They are looking forward to a busy run up to Christmas with more badge work, a bonfire enrolment ceremony and will be on parade in Saundersfoot for Remembrance Sunday.

The Brownies will be holding a craft and cake stall at the Colby Woodland Gardens Christmas Fair on November 30 and any money raised will be shared between unit funds and the Welsh Air Ambulance so please go along and support them.

They then look forward to a visit to the pantomime in Saundersfoot and taking part in the Lower Landsker District Carol Service and parade in Tenby before finishing the term with a fancy dress Christmas party.

The pack is running at full numbers at the moment, but a waiting list is held and anyone can join this by calling 01646 682777.

Adult helpers are always in demand for the units in the local area and a recruitment drive for additional Guiders in the Tenby area will be ongoing over the next couple of years.

If you would like to think about becoming involved in Girlguiding, please call the number stated above - an exciting time is ahead with centenary celebrations in 2010.
