The pennant of the first Tavernspite Brownie Guides was laid up in St. Peter's Church, Lampeter Velfrey, at a special service held on Sunday, February 17.
The Rector, Canon Geoffrey Morris, received the second Narberth Unit flag, carried by Hannah Webster-Smith, escorted by Alice Gray and Eleanor Gray.
Mrs. Kathleen Phillips, County President of the Guides, and Mrs. Marie Philpin, South Division Commissioner, led part of the service, and the Rector gave a short address.
The readers were Hayley Adams and Ffion Leathers, who, as well as taking the collection, also acted as escorts as Mrs. Janet Morgan and Mrs. Mary Adams brought the Tavernspite pennant to be received by the Rector at the altar.
The County Commissioner, Mrs. Nicole Evans, called upon the Brownie Guides to repeat their promise.
Everyone gathered in the south aisle afterwards for light refreshments.
