Congratulations to Adam Crawley, who completed his charity cycle ride from Carmarthen to Brooklands and back to Carmarthen recently, covering nearly 50 miles in aid of Alzheimer's.

Adam's father Ray, who resides at Brooklands, has experienced first-hand the effects of someone living with the illness.

Adam and his cycle partner, Donan Lewis, trained for nine months towards the challenge and completed the journey in a very respectable three hours and 28 minutes.

A fantastic total of almost £2,500 was raised, with £1,081 being donated to the Alzhemier's Society, and the rest generously given to Brooklands to help develop their Sensory Garden for residents to enjoy.
