Plaid Assembly Members were among those who met campaigners from Pembroke-shire who are concerned about proposals to site a recycling centre next to Brooklands Care Home in Saundersfoot.

Plaid Cymru AMs Simon Thomas and Bethan Jenkins met the campaigners when they handed in a petition at the Senedd on Wednesday.

Mid and West AM Simon Thomas said: "There are 40 residents at the Brooklands Care Home who can not speak on their behalf. Under the proposals, it is estimated that there will be 300 car movements per day. The noise will stop residents from using the peaceful gardens. I urge Pembrokeshire Councillors not to go ahead with the planning application."

Party of Wales AM Bethan Jenkins, who sits on the National Assembly's Petition committee added: "I would like to thank people for coming to the Senedd to hand in the petition. This process is about giving people a voice and highlighting issues of public concern."
