A West Wales company is putting faith in the UK holiday market with expansion plans and a bigger brochure to attract tourists to Pembrokeshire.
FBM Holidays has launched its 2009 brochure and announced it will expand further east to Swansea Bay and the Gower Peninsula.
The new brochure has 415 properties to offer potential holidaymakers, which FBM partner Tim Brace believes will be invaluable to the county's tourism economy.
He said: "With exchange rates against the Euro making it more expensive to travel in Europe, the uncertainty of the aircraft industry, and the current global financial crisis, I think we will see good growth in UK tourism for the foreseeable future.
"Pembrokeshire is ideally placed to capitalise on these aspects because of its spectacular coastline and the diverse range of amenities throughout the county. It's good to feel optimistic in these difficult times."
Over the past year, FBM Holidays has seen a six per cent growth in bookings, with a 20 per cent increase in people booking via the firm's website.
He added: "We've already had good demand for the autumn period. In September, we saw an increase in bookings by 14 per cent, so things are looking good.
"Hopefully, the new brochure will provide people with the inspiration they need to come and holiday in West Wales.
"There are properties to suit everyone and the 2009 brochure is a fantastic showcase for quality accommodation in an area renowned for its stunning beaches and fantastic tourism ventures."
FBM Holidays is also looking for second homeowners wanting to earn extra income from their properties.
Mr. Brace added: "With the housing sector still uncertain, it's never been a better time to look at alternative ways of making money on your home.
"The number of houses sold in Wales last month fell to its lowest since 1959, so second homeowners need to look at other avenues of income.
"We offer a free advisory service for homeowners who may be setting up a new venture or changing an existing one. The correct advice can often mean the difference between success and failure."
