The court heard how Elliott James Kershaw became abusive to police officers when they spoke to him in the village on the evening on March 28.
Kershaw, of Thornbridge, Broadmoor, became agitated, aggressive and pushed one of the officers in the chest, before running off, leading to a violent struggle and him being detained.
The defendant, who later admitted being drunk on the night in question, was also found in possession of 28.35 grammes of cannabis resin, which he told police he had purchased for £40 in Aberaeron.
The case was subsequently adjourned until May 7 for the preparation of pre-sentence reports and court chairman, Rev. Nanette Lewis-Head, warned Kershaw that the bench were keeping all their options open regarding sentencing.
