South Pembrokeshire Assembly Member Angela Burns is launching a campaign to discover the problems with broadband provision in the county. She is one of four Welsh AMs leading a cross-party inquiry into shortfalls with the provision of the high speed internet connection.

"Broadband access, or lack of it, is a huge issue among constituents," said Mrs. Burns. "More and more people are working from home or trying to run businesses from home and problems with getting broadband access in so-called 'not spots' are holding them back." She is now calling on all constituents who cannot receive broadband or are let down by poor bandwidths to contact her so that she can measure the problem. She will then use the information to lobby the Plaid Labour Government for proper investment locally. "I am extremely concerned that Pembrokeshire is being let down by the Welsh Assembly Government since it appears not to recognise that rural solutions to broadband may be different to urban solutions. "Without swift action, Pembrokeshire will be left behind the rest of Wales as the bandwidths increase elsewhere and we haven't even reached the minimum 512kbs in many areas!" • If you are having trouble accessing broadband, then please contact Angela Burns's office on (01834) 860102 or email [email protected]">[email protected]
