Five British National Parks have figured prominently in a new Rough Guide list being hailed as 'must do activities' before you die. The authors of '25 Things To Do In The British Isles Before You Die' recommend walking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, placed second, hiking in Snowdonia, rambling on Dartmoor, wandering Borrowdale in the Lake District, and cycling in the New Forest. Nic Wheeler, chief executive of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, said: "We're delighted that the Rough Guide has recognised the very special appeal of our UK National Parks. Millions of visitors already enjoy the magnificent scenery and recreation opportunities the parks offer. We hope the Rough Guide listing will encourage even more visitors to sample the joys of holidaying in Britain's most spectacular landscapes." The list is published in Rough Guide 25: Britain and Ireland.
