Tenby Town Council grabbed themselves an energy saver last year as well as a winter money saver, by switching their Christmas lights to LED bulbs.

The town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, revealed to members at their meeting on Tuesday night that the bill for the festive illuminations for 2010 came to £92, where previously it had been £1,800.

"The change has paid off, which is brilliant for Tenby," said Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown.
