A scheme appears to have been agreed between the owners of the former Gatehouse Hotel site and Pembrokeshire County Council to re-open the footpath along the route.

The clerk to Tenby Town Council, Mr. Andrew Davies, told members at their meeting on Tuesday night, that the scaffolding would be pushed back to the pine end and that small rubble remaining would be removed so that the barrier currently in place could be moved further back.

"It's brilliant news, it means that pedestrians won't have to be diverted at all," commented Clr. Mike Thorne.

The owners have until the end of July to comply with the scheme.
