The show put on at Kilgetty
It really is a beater
And all because of our dear friend
That everyone calls Peter.
Cars and buses in their thousands
Come to see this lovely sight
And all agree it is a picture
Brightening up these cold dark night.
The expense of all these decorations
That so many come to see
And all the money that's collected
Goes to a worthy charity.
One day the Queen will say to Peter
Go down upon your bended knee
For I am going to present you
With the well-earned OBE
Audrey too should have some credit
And I don't know how she feels
All she gets is brought each morning
With the service 'Meals on Wheels'
All I say to you dear Peter
Audrey, Vince and good old Pete
Thanks for all your worthy effort
The visit was a special treat
Now you've won the greatest honour
Winning with the best display
We shall all join in the chorus
And say to you, hip, hip, hooray.
