Forget the Olympic Ynglings, pictured are Team Tenby Ladies after their success in the National Redwing Sailing Championships, recently held in Fishguard in weather conditions that were often described by onlookers as terrifying.

Pictured (from left) are Helen Williams, Deanna Morton and Nan Dowell, of Tenby Sailing Club, who competed in extreme conditions over a week-long championships. 

Even after awful injuries to her leg, Deanna Morton won the well-deserved Redwing Championships Lady Crew Trophy with her partner, Mike Stace, and their boat, Sallyforth, coming fifth overall.

Helen Williams, who crewed for Alex MacDonald in Discretion, won a Trapezing Award for her super efforts 'on the wire'. Together they were awarded the Redwing Class Pegasus Trophy. 

Nan Dowell was the only lady crew who competed in and completed all six races, their boat coming in at eighth overall. Well done you brave and ardent ladies.
