The frequency of 'boy racers' speeding down Tenby's Park Road has gone beyond a joke, believes a local councillor.
Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter recently attended a meeting at the Augustus Place Community Centre along with Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas and the town clerk, and was shocked to hear the speeds the cars were producing over the duration of the meeting. "It's truly gone beyond a joke, and is causing absolute misery for the residents in that area; it's a nightmare," commented Clr. Mrs. Rossiter at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council.
She also revealed that a list of the culprits' car registrations had been taken, which she hoped could be presented to the local police authority.
Clr. Mike Evans told members that discussions with the county council's head of highways, Mr. Darren Thomas, were still ongoing, but they had indentified rubber mat speed traps to introduce along the area and had drawn up plans for different signage to deter speeding.
