GREEN OPENING

A large gathering of members attended the official opening of the new 2010 bowling season at the Sutton Street green, on Saturday, witnessing the traditional rolling up of the Ken Hewlings silver jack and first wood by club president, Pat Currie (pictured above).

The chairman, John Baggott (seen right), thanked all who had helped prepare the club throughout the winter, with a special mention to Tony Brown and Archie Rafferty.

This coming weekend there are the first two friendly matches of the season.

Tomorrow (Saturday), the Tenby team play the Five Arches in what is sure to be a very competitive contest, while on Sunday, the Five Arches play Pembroke Pater. Both have a 2 pm start.
