Whist drives
As usual, the regular members enjoy their twice weekly whist tournaments. They have just commenced for year 2010. They play every Thursday evening at 7 pm and Saturdays at 2 pm. New members are always welcome to come and join in the great fun games.
Winners on Thursday were: top score - Pauline Barnikel, 195; 1st lady - Muriel Griffiths, 190; 2nd lady - Mair Marquiss, 172; 1st gent -Gladys Irvine, 168; 2nd gent - Margaret Hill, 154; first half winner - Vi. Roberts, 79; second half - Jean Salisbury, 78; raffles - Vi Roberts and Pauline Barnikel.
As they say, you have to be in it to win it!
Coffee Morning
Saturday, January 16, sees the new management team preparing for the rapidly approaching season by holding a coffee morning. All of the regular members, bowling and social, are welcome.
New members are also welcome. All are looking ahead with relish to the return to fair weather.
