A winter's rest

Thanks to a burst of autumnal summer and an excellent response from our members, the clearance of the cores   was accomplished in record time by Gwyn Beynon, Archie Rafferty, John Baggott, Lynn Deli, Mike Gouldingay and John Moffat, with Betty Beynon supplying the refreshing tea.

Early on the following Saturday, the serious 'dressing of the green' got underway. Helping Chris and Michael were John Baggott, Mike Gouldingay, Archie Rafferty, Aaron Lloyd, Ted Lloyd, Ron Hurlow, Bert Barnikel (relegated to tea boy this year), John Moffat, Tony Brown and Lawrence Hourahane.

Chris Jenkins has done another wonderful job on our very busy green this season, which was complicated by exceptionally wet weather all summer.

President Bert Barnikel thanked him for his dedicated input and said he hoped he would continue for many more years. Chris responded positively to everyone's delight.

Tenby Five Arches Dinner

If possible, would all those going to the dinner meet at the Tenby House at 4 pm and travel by minibus from there to The Cross. Or please make your own way there - let Mike Gouldingay know either way.
