Bonus ball
Whisper it quietly, very quietly, but she has done it again. For the third week in a row, Meryl Cooke has come up trumps again. There is no 'fiddle', she just picks the right numbers, and hey presto, she picks up the 'dosh'. Other winners were the 'celebrity twins', Helen and Christine. And that makes it an all female winners weekend! Great
Not only the result last Saturday, but the day in the club. Many had been away for the rugby internationals, great expectations, wonderful atmosphere, good natured 'micky taking', meeting old friends, making new ones; it all makes for a wonderful day out. And then the dreaded long journey home, especially if you had travelled to Scotland! Except for the journey, it was like that in the club. Born and bred in Tenby, why does Tony Brown insist on singing 'Flower of Scotland'. Dai Spencer, Ashley Hooper and Archie Rafferty supplied the cawl, French bread, cheese and pickle onions, appreciated by all. Dai was delivering the cawl before seven in the morning. He is some man! Perhaps it was only justice that Ashley won the 'guess the score', and typical of him, he immediately bought everyone a drink. Don't mind if he is correct for the Italian game! We missed 'Simo' for a while and wondered if the ref had given him the yellow card! Dai King Thomas, fresh from his journey to the 'land of the long white cloud', Zealand Newydd to the uninitiated, turned up in his 'All Blacks' tee- shirt. Nearly did the 'haka' for us! Next up is the Italian match. If you want a great few hours in good company, book your seat now. You have been warned!

Our own Ysie White was part of an indoor junior rink formation that won through to the semi-finals of the Under 16s to be held in Swansea. Along with the Whitland duo of Ryan Thomas and Liam Price, and Saundersfoot's Joe Dennis, they overcame a quartet from Dynevor and Merthyr Tydfil to reach the last four in Wales.
This is a magnificent achievement for the four youngsters from the local area, playing out of Heatherton indoor arena, and a tribute to the hard work put in by their coaches.
