Committee Meeting
Tuesday, February 13, is the date for the next meeting of the 'learned ones', starting at 7 pm. Rugby
Wales have not won a match so far, and we have not been much better at 'guess the score'. Against the French, it was Scot Dai Robb who was tops, and a self-acknowledged not too 'with it' on the technicalities of the game! Nevertheless he predicted the score. The Irish have also won it, but not the Welsh. Certainly fancy our chances this weekend - score, for what it is worth, 31 points to 17 for the boys in red. Please let us win! Bonus ball
Living at the moment in Cyprus, but still able to win the bonus is Kenny Williams. We wish him well, but his Sunday 'mate' Archie bemoans the fact that he is not at home to buy him a pint with the winnings. Never mind Archie, there are a few others as well that will remind him. The other winner was bubbly Val James.

Bowling club whist is played twice weekly, Thursday at 7 pm and Saturday at 2 pm. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome. Juniors
Once again, some of our Junior Academy players were on the road, competing in the Under 16s rinks. One rink that included Liz Goldwait and Rachel Hensman was up against a strong rink skipped by the experienced Ben Evans and went down by four shots. Ysie White, Adam Hensman and Dana Rogers in another foursome, skipped by Joe Dennis from Saundersfoot, lost on the last end by one shot. We are justifiably proud of our juniors who have had an exceptionally good indoor season, some of them for the first time. They still enjoy themselves at their Friday night 'youth' club held in the clubhouse, and with the nights now starting to draw out, it will not be long before they can exhibit their skills on the outdoor circuit. Due to the Meyrick Owen and the Brewers Cup matches mainly being played on a Wednesday evening, the juniors' practice and coaching will now take place on a Thursday evening.
