Coffee Morning
Yes, the long-awaited event will be held tomorrow (Saturday) starting at 10 am. Reg Thake has done his bit with the advertising, going around the town doing 'wheelies' on his new motorised scooter, while delivering notices of the coffee morning. Reg does a lot of work for the club in his own quiet way. He is also custodian of the 'club library', which has now been extended to include jig-saw puzzles, tapes and DVDs, all of which have been generously donated by various members. You can peruse these tomorrow while attending the coffee morning! Junior Section
The second of the 'Youth Club' evenings for the juniors was held on Friday, and by all accounts it was thoroughly enjoyed by all and sundry. They have organised a 'committee' from amongst their number. Appointed captain was Dana Rogers, while her 'committee' consists of Rachel and Adam Hensman, Ysie White and Luke Rees. Mustard Keen
Every winter, Ken and Anita Williams jet off to warmer climes, mainly Cyprus. How the rich live! Ken, who only joined the club this year, took his woods with him to hopefully beat some poor, unsuspecting local. Well Wales did it at footie, so why not Ken at bowls. I am sure he will regale his Sunday lunchtime mates with the details.

QUIZ NIGHT
Thursday evening the club held a Quiz Night in aid of the West Wales Ladies Bowling Association. There were 10 tables, with teams coming from as far a field as Neyland, Pembroke Dock and Saundersfoot. The quiz master was Lee Richards and the questions compiled by his wife Hayley. Silence descended and off we went, with 10 rounds of 10 questions. The old grey matter went in to overdrive, with some very strange noises (oo's and ah's) breaking the silence. The scores were totalled up and results were as follows: Third place Gravitas, second The Poolers and first The Four Marys. All three teams kindly donated their prize money to the WWLBA. The evening was rounded off with a raffle and buffet. The club would like to thank all ladies who contributed to the raffle and buffet and Lee and Hayley for making the evening a great success.
LUCKY ALISON!
Alison Redman has created a new record at the club. Not only did she win one of the 'Bonus Ball' prizes the previous week, but she took two last week, her number coming up in the draw on both Wednesday and Saturday - yes, that's right, three in a row. Lucky Alison!
