Sir, I would like to complain about the trauma of Bonfire Night around this area. We are elderly and live on a quiet estate, but it was anything but quiet when deafening crashes started to go off right outside our bungalow - shouldn't this be happening above us? During the evening these were followed in quick succession by shattering explosions rather like machine-gun fire. Then came the screaming rockets which, to anyone who lived through the War, were reminiscent of bombs raining down. I am all in favour of a bit of fun on Bonfire Night, but does this have to include terrorising people? Enough is enough.
