A team from Ysgol y Preseli won a recent county-wide boccia tournament.
Ysgol y Preseli beat Greenhill School's Tenby Tigers by five points to two to win the annual Pembrokeshire Schools Chevron Boccia Tournament.
Based on boules, boccia was originally developed for people with cerebral palsy, but is now played by people of all abilities and disabilities.
Fourteen teams competed in the secondary schools competition, which was held on March 26 at the Meads Sport and Leisure Centre in Milford Haven.
As well as teams from Ysgol y Preseli and Greenhill School, the competition included teams from Sir Thomas Picton School, Pembroke School, Pembroke Autistic Centre, Milford Haven School, Portfield School and Ysgol Bro Gwaun in Fishguard.
The winners and runners-up were resented with trophies by Clr. Huw George, cabinet member for children and young people.
Meanwhile, the primary school tournament was won by a team from Fenton Primary - Fenton 1, who beat their classmates Fenton 2 by five point to nil.
Three teams competed in the competition in a round-robin, with the two highest scoring teams playing in the final.
The winners and runner-ups were presented with their trophies by the Mayor of Milford Haven, Clr. John Roberts RD.
Meanwhile, two of Pembrokeshire's Boccia clubs - Crymych Panthers and Young Vipers - are merging and moving to the new leisure centre at Haverfordwest, where Boccia courts have been painted. The club will meet on Wednesday evening from 6-7 pm, starting on Wednesday, April 22.
