A very successful day organised by the Pembrokeshire Motor Club was held at Talbenny, on Sunday, April 20, in memory of Bob Shaw, who passed away in January. Raffle prizes were generously donated by local businesses, with all other contributions given to the CDU at Withybush Hospital. Bob won two awards in January; one for the PMC (club champion, class 4) with Simon Mansell from Kilgetty, and the Welsh Clubman Forest Rally Championship (second in class award 2007) with Leighton Waters. These awards were presented to the family in February. There was a maximum entry for the Talbenny event, which generated a huge amount of support from both spectators, family and friends. And it was so successful, that it is now proposed to make it a perpetual event. Bob's son James, with Simon Mansell, and son-in- law Chris, with John Thwaites, entered into the spirit of the day, with Chris and John walking away with a trophy. Bob's son and daughter presented the awards. Sue, Jo and James would like to thank everyone for their support at the event.

Overall winners John Bray (driver) and Melo La Rosa (navigator) with James and Jo.
