Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is to mount a 'robust defence' to the legal action it is facing over its decision to back the controversial Bluestone Project.
At an extraordinary meeting of the authority on Tuesday, members agreed to appoint a London QC as advocate in the proceedings issued by the National Parks' watchdog, the Council for National Parks.
If so advised by its QC, the authority may contest the Council for National Parks' application for leave to seek a judicial review.
"Specialist London agents have been instructed by the authority to act on its behalf in connection with the proceedings," said a spokesman for the authority after the meeting.
The authority will also seek the advice of its QC in developing its evidence to be submitted to the court.
Meanwhile, arrangements were put in place to enable the authority to respond to the course of the proceedings quickly and effectively should the need arise.
