The Bluestone Holiday Village development at Canaston was granted full planning permission by Pembrokeshire County Council's planning committee on Monday. Bluestone chief executive William McNamara welcomed the approval, saying: "Since submission of the Bluestone planning application in November 2002, a long process of consultation has taken place with both Pembrokeshire County Council and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. "We are delighted that full planning permission has been granted by Pembrokeshire County Council and we hope to receive a similarly positive outcome from Pembrokeshire Coast National Park next week. "We then need to await the outcome of the judicial review challenge, but we are confident that Pembrokeshire Coast National Park executives have undertaken all the requirements of planning and that we can move on to deliver the real benefits of Bluestone to the people of Pembrokeshire." The National Park Authority are due to consider the reserved matters for the Bluestone application on November 17. • The £60m Bluestone development comprises the Bluestone village, 340 timber lodges, a health spa and sports club for guests and a subtropical Waterworld and state-of-the-art Snow Centre which will also be open to day visitors
