THE BLUES are coming to Tenby's De Valence. A night full of rhythm and a lot of soul. The Hoochie Coochie Band came into existence in the last year of the previous millennium headed by Tony 'Mojo' Morgan after his local success with the Mojo Roadshow. He snapped up guitarist Yanni and bassist Phil Corney, a local boy who has toured with the likes of Leo Sayer and Mick Taylor (ex Rolling Stones), giving the band the much-needed edge. They were later joined by harmonica player Robbie who, with his routes in the Pembrokeshire Irish music scene, added the melodic touch. Milford drummer, Mark Mayhew, has long been a regular in the Hoochies, bringing flair to the rhythm section gained through his extensive experience in London. The Hoochie Coochie Band are a regular feature on Pembrokeshire's pub circuit, have supported R & B legends, Dr. Feelgood and traded blows with Pembrokeshire's Justice Done in the 'Face-Off' at the Queen's Hal, Narberth. The Tyler Brown Blues Band has been together for nearly two years. Formed from ex-members of the Purple Onion Company, Target 2 and Hilltop blues band, the band are pure Pembrokeshire based, and entertain in all music venues in the county as well as blues clubs and venues in Swansea, Cardiff, Carmarthen and Llanelli. They have also just completed a session on Radio Pembrokeshire playing their self-penned songs, as well as the standard blues. Their live performances are filled with energy and when you see them you will understand why they are fast becoming one of the most sought-after blues band around. It's a unique opportunity to see two blues bands for the price of one. Tickets £3.50.
