Presentations to the winners of Saundersfoot in Bloom took place at St. Brides Hotel on Wednesday, courtesy of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Evans. In presenting the prizes, Clr. Ron Brabon, chairman of Saundersfoot Community Council, congratulated the winners. The proceedings were chaired by SIB president, Mr. Duncan Hilling. Prize winners were:

Best garden visible from the road - 1. Mr. and Mrs. J. Archer, 11 Bevelin Hall; 2. Mr. C. J. Preece, White Gates, Stammers Road. Best forecourt without garden - 1. Mrs. Raydene Deakin, Alray; 2. Mr. George Cavell, Tree Maru. Best display window-boxes - Julia Griffiths, Pebble Bank. The Strand. Senior citizens' garden - Mrs. V. Merriman, Cherryland, Sardis. Best garden not visible from the road - 1. Mrs. Marlene Morrison, 57 Pennant Avenue; joint 3. Ann Lewis and Brian Deeley, 18 North Close and Dilys Griffiths, Hafodwen. Special prize to Mr. Philip Brace, 47 Sandy Hill Park.

BUSINESS SECTION

Best garden - 1. Mr. and Mrs. Trimmings, Vine Cottage. Best window-boxes etc. - 1. Gerald Brace, Broadfield Farm; 2. Peter Caine, Chemist Inn. Best overall display visible from the road - 1. Mulberry Restaurant; 2. Marina Milkmaid. Best clubs, institutions etc. - 1. Saundersvale Caravan Park; 2. Saundersfoot Harbour Commission. Best group project - Mr. D.
