A rallying call has been made to traders in Tenby to support this year's campaign to help the resort regain the prestigious title of best small floral town in Wales.
Speaking at Wednesday's meeting of the town council, chairman of Tenby in Bloom, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, said that the lack of involvement by much of the retail sector had been highlighted by the Wales in Bloom judge last year, when for the first time in 12 years, Tenby had lost its national accolade.
"It is very important to the town and we hope to have the support of the businesses this year," she commented.
She also said recycling was an important fact in Bloom judging and appealed for any ideas.
A meeting is now to be arranged between Tenby in Bloom, Tenby Town Council and Tenby 2020 to plan this year's campaign.
