International judges from the Communities in Bloom competition who were welcomed to Tenby recently were walked off their feet, the town's Mayor said this week.

Speaking at Tuesday night's meeting of Tenby Town Council, Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, said that the two judges for the competition who had travelled over from California and Ontario, had enjoyed a lengthy tour of the resort.

"Whatever happens in this competition, it was a great honour for Tenby to be considered at all for such an international event," said Clr. Mrs. Lane, who also said that she was delighted that the town had once again enjoyed success in the Wales In Bloom competition.

"I'd like to thank everyone in the town who helped for their hard work, including councillors around this table who contributed too," she added.
