Estate agency Blackbear owned by Scarlets rugby scrum half, Gareth Davies - have just agreed a deal to acquire one of Tenby’s most successful agencies for an undisclosed fee - less than 18 months after opening.

Blackbear is one of Wales’ fastest growing estate agencies and it has announced the acquisition of Chandler Rogers, a longstanding and respected name in the West Wales property market - based in the historic seaside town of Tenby, located on Upper Frog Street, it represents the brands third expansion in less than 18 months.

For Blackbear, this move is about growth with respect - carrying forward the heritage and reputation built by Chandler Roger’s while bringing fresh energy, modern systems, and scale to meet the demands of today’s market.

Martyn Rogers, director of Chandler Rogers, said: “Chandler Roger’s has always been about trust, service, and local knowledge. From our very first conversations, it was clear that Jamie and the Blackbear team shared those values and had the vision to build on them.

“This deal ensures that our legacy continues, while opening the door to new opportunities for our clients and community,” he added.

Gareth Davies, director of Blackbear, commented: “We love what Chandler Rogers have managed to do over the years in Tenby, as an independent they have not only survived everything from the pandemic to recessions but they have done so in some style while competing with national brands.

“Martyn has been amazing with us and we are so glad we have managed to do the deal that allows Martyn some well earned time off!” continued Gareth.

With Chandler Rogers now part of the Blackbear group, clients can expect the same trusted service, backed by the scale, innovation, and momentum of one of the most dynamic agencies in the Welsh property market.
