THE Air Ambulance has received a wonderful donation of £200 from Mrs. Gwendoline Hood, of Narberth.

Mrs. Hood recently celebrated her 95th birthday and asked for donations for the charity rather than any gifts.

The celebration itself took place at the Nant y Ffin Hotel, with around 18 family members and friends enjoying a wonderful meal.

This is the second time that Mrs. Hood has supported the Air Ambulance as she raised funds in a similar way when celebrating her 92nd birthday!

Mike Ashbridge from Wales Air Ambulance thanked Mrs Hood for her support.

"It is exceptionally kind and generous of Mrs. Hood to support the Air Ambulance in this way," he said.

"Having the opportunity to meet Mrs. Hood was also a pleasure as she is such a charming and lively lady.

"We've already pencilled in a special celebration for her 100th birthday!" he added.
