Pictured on her 17th birthday receiving a cheque for £5,000 as part of her trust fund is Angharad Webb, of Monkton. Angharad, who is originally from Penally, was born with no limbs lower than her knees, and the trust fund was set-up for her when she was nine weeks old. As one of the fund's trustees, Trevayne Keohane, explained: "When Angharad was born the trust fund was set-up with a view to her having full access to the money on her 18th birthday. "Money for the fund has been raised over the years by locals taking part in numerous fund-raising events throughout the country," continued Trevayne. Now Angharad has turned 17, part of the fund has been passed over to her, so she can pay for driving lessons and eventually buy a car. "With these driving lessons, we're glad that Angharad will be able to use some of the money wisely and put it to good use in helping her lead an active and normal life," added Trevayne.
