Pembroke Rotary Club celebrated its 58th year of service to the community at its annual 'Birthday' dinner at the Giltar Hotel, Tenby.

Guests included Rotary Assistant Governor, Mr. Chris Williams, and the president of the Inner Wheel Club of Pembroke, Mrs. Monica Vanner, both of whom made speeches, as did the president of the club, Mr. Malcolm Lowless, who explained that his late uncle, Col. Desmond Lowless, was in 1953 the founder president of the club and that his late father, Mr. Owen Lowless, had in 1959 also been president.
