Eyes down, look in! All the twos, 22, legs 11, on its own, number one. Yes, it was bingo night at Cresselly Cricket Club organised by Carew and Cresswell Quay local committee for Cancer Research.

The event took place on Wednesday, February 22, and the caller was Liz Hydz, who did a really good job. Those who won 'lines' were rewarded with boxes of chocolates and those who had success with 'houses' took away bottles of wine, so there were many satisfied customers.

Once again a buffet had been arranged and the table was groaning with food prepared by the committee.

A raffle was drawn and the winners were Harvey Oakley, who had the first prize of a fruit basket, orchids were won by June Cole and Fiona Davies, a cheese and wine hamper was won by Marjorie Davies, Pat Harbud had a bottle of wine, Charlie Oakley won a £10 Tesco voucher and a photo album, and Jean Jaques and Liz Hydz won toiletries and a memo pad, respectively.

It was agreed that it had been a very satisfactory and pleasant evening, enjoyed by all, and an easy way to raise money for such a good charity. The total of £378.20 was made from the night's event.

Many thanks to David Richards for allowing it to take place (and for putting up with us!), but mostly to those wonderful 'bingo players' who gave us their support.
