A GIFT sent for auction at a top London venue from Pembrokeshire is hoped to raise a substantial amout of funds for children with special needs in the area.

Each year Variety Club of Great Britain International Barker, Jim Hughes and his wife County Councillor and Milford haven Town Councillor Anne Hughes select a gift from Pembrokeshire to be auctioned at the Variety Club's Christmas Dinner at the Hilton Hotel on London's Park Lane in front of many top stars and celebrities.

This year, the gift selected is a G 360-720 Twist Turbo Sport Trike Go-Cart.

The trike was sold to Jim and Anne for the charity at cost price by Kilgetty Motor Factors, Bumper to Bumper.

A well-known broadcast journalist for Radio Pembrokeshire, Jim has been an International Barker with Variety Club for 40 years this year, and the couple have raised many thousands of pounds for kiddies with specal needs in the area.
