The weather was kind, the crowds flowed in and everyone - public and exhibitors alike - thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful summer's day.

Since moving to West Wales from Wrexham in 1976 Bob and Betty Williams have successfully bred and shown Shire Horses, Hunters and Murray Grey cattle, but their latest interest has been in Zwartbles sheep, running a breeding flockof 30 on their 10-acre holding.
It was their two-year-old ewe that won the sheep championship ahead of Bryant Rees with his winning Suffolk ram.
From the dog show, best was given to the 18-month-old black and white Cocker Spaniel, Molly, entered by Saphire Holland with Sue Jones's three-year-old American Cocker Spaniel bitch, Millie, in reserve.
A place to see and admire that craftwork of other ladies and gents - and youngsters - was the horticultural marquee where Len Thomas excelled with his vegetables and flowers, Gwyn Beynon demonstrated how to grow onions and Alice James retained the Millenium trophy which she won two years ago in the children's section.
