Robert Fulloway and his family, from Stourport on Severn, called in to The White Horse Inn, Kilgetty, last Friday, to receive a cheque for £3,162.94 on behalf of the Harriet Davis Trust.

The Fulloway family had been staying at The Wheelabout, in Penally, which is one of the trust’s four holiday properties in Pembrokeshire, specially adapted for disabled children and their families.

The money raised was the proceeds from a sponsored walk by friends of the inn over the May Bank Holiday weekend, and was organised by customer Dilwyn Davies with help from landlord Anthony Phillips.

Elizabeth Sleight, development manager for the trust, said: “This was a fantastic fundraising effort by Dilwyn and the White Horse Inn team, and we are truly overwhelmed by the result. This will make a huge difference in helping us give disabled children the best possible holidays.”
