I received an international telephone call telling me I have corrupt files on my computer and asking me to log on to my computer and follow the instructions that they would give me.

As most of you know, this is a scam to allow the person who called remote access to your computer. Once they have this, they can access all your personal details, including bank accounts etc.

If anybody gets one of these calls, tell them very simply that you are not going to log on to your computer and put the phone down. I'm sure most of you realise this, but if you don't, then I hope my advice helps.
