ONE of Pembrokeshire's oldest residents celebrated her 105th birthday recently.
Elizabeth (Bessie) Phillips passed the major milestone on February 12.
Clr. Robin Evans, chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council, visited Bessie at her home in Clunderwen to help her celebrate her big day.
The former tailoress was born and bred in the village, where she still lives supported by her daughter Sadie and her family.
Bessie, who enjoys watching snooker, bowls and darts on the TV, is the village's oldest resident and the oldest member of Blaenconin Baptist Church.
