Bella Voce, the 16-piece all female choir from Pembrokeshire, have been making headlines again.

They performed alongside the world-famous soprano, Katherine Jenkins and solo star and Classic FM presenter, Aled Jones in the Katherine Jenkins Christmas concert at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea. The lively ladies sang specially written arrangements of three Christmas favourites with Katherine and Aled, ‘I Wish You Christmas,’ ‘O Holy Night’ and ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.’ They also performed one of their own Christmas favourites, ‘Not That Far From Bethlehem’ rearranged for them and orchestra accompaniment.

As if that wasn’t excitement enough, the concert was also filmed by the BBC and will be broadcast on December 22, on BBC1 Wales, at 9 pm, and BBC1 national at 11.15 pm.

“The concert was an amazing experience and the two hosts and the producer, Connie Fisher, were wonderful and gave us a super welcome,” said one Bella Voce singer.

The choir was started two years ago by the hugely talented soprano, Sarah Benbow, with all but two of its members being teachers within Pembrokeshire. Since then, it has performed in numerous concerts, including St. Davids Cathedral, and has a future performance with the Massed Male Voice Choirs at the Albert Hall, London, to look forward to in 2018.

They also helped runners get into the Santa spirit at the Santa Run in Tenby on Sunday. Singing a range of festive favourites, they kept spectators and Santas happy as they prepared for the charity dash.

Their annual Christmas concert will be held this year at St. Mary’s Church, Tenby, on December 23, at 6.30. Tickets are available in advance from Dale’s Music, Tenby, or on the door, and the choir are promising a full range of festive favourites, old and new.
