This guided walk leads south from the small village of Lamphey, with its impressive Bishop's Palace, to the coast at Freshwater East. From here the route follows the Pembrokeshire Coast Path as far as Manorbier. Enjoy some spectacular views out over the beaches at Freshwater East, Swanlake Bay and Manorbier.
The walk, which takes place on Saturday, August 10, is the eighth in this year's series of Guided Walks from Pembrokeshire Railways Stations. Starting from Lamphey Station at 11.58 am, the route is approximately six miles long. Lead by an experienced guide, walkers will be at Manorbier Station in time to catch the 4.37 pm (eastbound).
The walk is provided free of charge and is open to anyone wishing to discover the delights of the Pembrokeshire coast and countryside. It is organised by PLANED as part of the Greenways initiative, which promotes access-for-all to the countryside by environmentally sustainable means. It is supported by the European Union Objective 1 (ERDF) programme and Wales and Borders Passenger Trains.
A free leaflet, which provides further details of the programme, and assistance with planning to/from the walks are available from Sarah Worby on (01834) 860965/email tourism @sparc.org.uk
