Sir, Mr. Gwynne Griffiths (Letters March 4) drew attention to the work being carried out to the wooden staging and ramps at South Beach, Tenby. Work is currently in progress there following storm damage over the winter which caused the beach level to drop, undermining this structure. One ramp has been removed from the southern end of the platform and we are in the process of installing a new flight of steps and re-shoring the whole structure to be ready for the main holiday season. Work by the National Park wardens is continuing and will be completed with the addition of a seat on top of the platform to allow people to rest and admire the view. What Mr. Griffiths referred to is interim measures to allow continued access for the many people who use this beach walkway.
