Have you have ever dreamed of relaxing in a beautiful place, pencil or paint brush in hand, just enjoying your surroundings and being inspired to sketch or paint? Then why not go along to Colby Woodland Garden's Art in the Garden events which will be held every Thursday in June from 11 am to 2 pm. Local art tutor Sandra Parker and well-known artist Doreen Hammersley will be on hand to give help and advice and materials will be supplied. There will also be opportunities to experiment with new media such as collage using natural materials from the woodland garden. Art in the Garden will run from 11 am - 2 pm, Thursday, June 7 - Thursday, June 28, and there will be cover if the weather is inclement. Artists can bring their own materials if they prefer, or use those provided. Whether you are a complete novice, have a little or lots of experience, Art in the Garden is suitable for all levels - you can choose how much help you require. Just bring a chair, relax and enjoy! Normal admission to the garden applies (National Trust members free), plus £5 to take part. Further information can be obtained by 'phoning (01834) 811885.
