Sir,

Sixty-nine years have passed since the Royal Air Force spearheaded the victory in the momentous 'Battle of Britain'.

In company with its brother services, the Royal Air Force Squadrons and RAF Regiment continue to be heavily engaged in Afghanistan and other overseas areas.

Calls upon the RAFA Welfare Funds increase by the day and it is in order to keep faith with those who served so well in 1940 that we endeavour to assist the needy of today's service. Please give generously on September 19 (RAFA Wings Day).

By kind permission of the Rector of Tenby, the RAFA will be holding a Service of Commemoration in St. Mary's Church, Tenby, at 3 pm, on Sunday, September 20. All are cordially invited to this service.

'Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few'.

We will remember them.

Wilf Hardy,

President,

Royal Air Force

Association,

Tenby.
