I can assure Clr. Sue Lane that there are bats living in the town walls. My previous home was where the Cobourg apartments in Upper Frog Street are under construction now, and my parents and I used to enjoy seeing bats flitting across the garden and indeed, enter the house on occasions. I doubt if they are there now as the garden has been built over, not providing insects that are the main source of food for bats.
