Greenhill School entered the West Wales Schools Under 17s tournament as last year's Under 16 champions, so the pressure was on them from the start to retain their standing.
The first game saw them play St. David's. This was a fairly comfortable game for Greenhill, in which all their squad had a good run out, and they ended up winners by 22-4.
Scorers were Rhys Bromby 10 pts, Steve Ive 6, Dan Colley 4, Ben Charles 4.
The next game was the final. This was played against their old foes, Tasker Milward.
This was a very close game. Taskers went into a four-point lead, before Greenhill pulled it back through two baskets by Steven Ive. Rhys Bromby scored a further two baskets and Jason Llama rounded off the first half scoring with a three-pointer. This made the half-time score 11-4.
The second half was a much closer affair, with each team scoring basket for basket. At one stage, Taskers brought the score to within two points of Greenhill at 25-23, but Greenhill pulled away again to make the final score 31-25, thus retaining their position as the number one schools team in West Wales.
