Sir,

I feel the need to express my concerns on the subject of dog fouling, or should I say their quite confused owners.

They seem to have got the message to place the soilage in a plastic bag (mostly purple nappy sacks), but then, to my disbelief, throw the offending package into the nearest hedge or grass verge.

Templebar Road is just one of my main concerns, right by the children's park and play area. May I add the last count there was six beautifully coloured nappy sacks decorating the hedgerow like a Christmas tree, all full of doggie contents.

I have also seen the same packages at Kilgetty as you walk towards the bypass - not an attractive site.

Why bother to 'poop and scoop', then 'throw and grow'.

Could you please, through your intelligent newspaper, try and educate the few offending minorities. If you do 'poop and scoop', please take the offending contents to the nearest bin, or home to your dustbin as, if left, it is unpleasant to see and takes much longer to decay.

Yes, I know there are few bins available in the surrounding area; perhaps the council could take note of this problem and be good enough to provide more.

Then, hopefully, people will use them for the correct purpose.

Mrs. H. Skidmore,

Pentlepoir.
