Long Course Weekend hero Gareth Scotcher was delighted to receive a £500 cheque this week from New Hedges-based business Tees 'R' Us.

The company printed a limited number of 'Backing the Beaver' t-shirts so fans of Gareth and his triathlete partner Nicky Rees could show their support to the duo and wear as they cheered them on during the three-day event.

As a result, £500 was raised which Richard Lewis officially handed over to Gareth to be shared between the Motor Neurone Disease Fund and the Gareth Scotcher Trust Fund.
