The annual Withybush Baby Service will be held at St. Luke’s Chapel in Withybush Hospital on September 21 at 6.30 pm.
The service will include hymms, readings and poems. A local trio of singers will also sing a piece of music.
Gill Llewellyn, bereavement officer at Withybush Hospital, said: “At each service, we have a symbolic act. This year we will remember our little ones with rainbows, a symbol of hope. Families will given rainbow remembrance cards and an opportunity to place these on the altar. Those who are unable to come and join us can still have a rainbow card placed on the altar on your behalf.
“Acknowledgement of the death of a baby, regardless of when the loss occurred, is very important. We hope that this will provide parents and family members the support and space they need to remember the baby or child that they have lost, and ease some of the pain that they feel.”
All are welcome to attend this service which will remember loved and lost babies from Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire and further afield. Refreshments will be provided after the service .
