Tenby's 'Awesome Twosome' - Nicky Rees and Gareth Scotcher - raised the magnificent sum of £7,000 by taking part in the summer's Long Course Weekend.
At a presentation, the superheroes presented a cheque for £3,500 to Motor Neurone Disease Association, with the other £3,500 going to the Gareth Scotcher Trust Fund.
The phenomenal achievement of sportsman Nicky and his friend Gareth, who suffers from a debilitating disease, touched the hearts of the people of Pembrokeshire and beyond.
In July, almost 10 years after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease - a cruel illness that changed his life forever, Gareth and Nicky undertook a truly astonishing task - The Long Course Weekend.
As Pembrokeshire basked in one of the hottest heatwaves in recent years, over three separate days, Gareth's mind, body and soul was put to the test. It started with a 2.5-mile swim on the Friday, a 112-mile bike ride on the Saturday and finally a full 26.2-mile marathon on the Sunday.
In an email to us, Gareth wrote: "A massive thank you to everybody who generously donated and supported Nicky and I over the three days. It was truly overwhelming and I was humbled and of course thank you to Nicky, a true hero."
Gareth and Nicky are seen presenting the £3,500 cheque to Maimie Davis, treasurer of the Motor Neurone Disease Association South West Wales branch, while also pictured are Gareth's children Dylan and Daisy, number one supporters over the LCW three days.
